About The Sea Goose

The Sea Goose > About

Westerly Chef Andrew Nathan and his wife, Jennifer Gibson, opened the Sea Goose restaurant in 2013 as a “sister restaurant” to Westerly staple The Cooked Goose. The Sea Goose specializes in fresh, local seafood; with menu items such as lobster, flounder, monkfish, and tuna depending on the season.

The Sea Goose Grill and Raw bar has been described by Providence Monthly as “spicing up New England cuisine with southern flavors”. We take pride in locally sourcing food, and provide a welcoming environment with a wide variety of drinks, desserts, and delicious food.

“I want to use everything locally that I can, and there are some fantastic local products out there, but the seasonal patterns of fish won’t change, and sometimes we just can’t stay strictly local. But we will always stay strictly quality.”

Our Culinary Philosophy

At the Sea Goose Grille and Raw Bar in Westerly, we thoroughly believe that consumers recognize the quality of fresh, well-prepared seafood that we serve. We buy the very best, and serve it nicely. Chef Joe Collins enjoys preparing seasonal selections, ranging from flounder to tuna, and occasionally mahi-mahi and scup.

Our pastry chef Sam also hand-makes decadent desserts. They taste as good as they look.
